Wushu ace Agatha Wong defends title in women's taolu taijijian event of Vietnam SEA Games

Another gold is in the bag for the Philippines.

This as Agatha Wong successfully defended her title in the wushu women's taolu taijijian event of the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Sunday at the Cau Giay Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The 23-year-old Filipinas outperformed eight other contenders, finishing with a score of 9.71 to bag the gold a day after settling for a silver medal in the taolu taijiquan event.

Taolu taijijian was the same event that Wong ruled in the 2019 edition in Manila, where the Philippines copped the overall championship.

Behind Wong, home bets Thi Minh Huyen Tran and Thi Kieu Trang Tran of Vietnam finished second and third with final tally of 9.70 and 9.69, respectively.
