Bautista, Paragile deliver gold and bronze for PH athletics team
A pair of athletics aces delivered podium finishes for the Philippines in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Monday in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Clinton Kingsley Bautista snatched the gold in the men's 110m/100m hurdles event, defending his title after having ruled the same event during the 2019 edition. Bautista clocked in 13.78 seconds to top the competition composed of seven other contenders.
Singapore's Chen Xiang Ang settled for silver with a time of 13.94 seconds while Thailand's Nattaphon Dansungnoen registered 13.99 seconds to fcop the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, Jelly Dianne Paragile picked up the bronze medal in the women's 100m hurdles event after clinching 13.72 seconds behind gold medalist Nguyen Bui Thi of Vietnam (13.51).
Indonesia's Emilia Nova bagged the silver with a time of 13.69 seconds.
Alyana Nicolas also bagged a bronze in the women's pole vault event behind Nor Sarah Adi Binti of Malaysia who copped the gold and Chonthicha Khabut of Thailand who settled for silver.
