Sibol MLBB team books SEA Games finals ticket with reverse sweep of Singapore

Sibol Mobile Legends: Bang Bang squad survived a gritty Singapore team in their best-of-three semifinal series, 2-1, to book a gold medal match ticket in the 31st SEA Games on Thursday.

Singapore, bannered mostly by its M3 world championships representatives, leaned on Adammir (Beatrix) and Remaniscent (Baxia) as they handed Sibol its first loss in the tournament.

Adammir led with seven kills and four assists against three deaths as they dispatched the Filipinos in almost 14 minutes of action for a 14-15 kill spread.

Sibol team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna (Diggie) then took over in game two, unleashing 15 assists and three kills while only absorbing one death as they took control to equalize the series to 1-1.

The Filipinos survived a tight game three en route to booking their slot in the gold medal match.

Sibol now awaits the winner of another semis bracket between Malaysia and Indonesia, who will slug it out later today.

The Filipinos previously swept their group stage matches, blanking Malaysia, Laos, and Myanmar to advance to the semis stage.
