Tennis ace Alex Eala settles for bronze in women's singles

Juniors Grand Slam doubles champion Alex Eala settled for a bronze medal in the tennis women's singles event in the 31st Southeast Asian Games.

Eala fell short against Thailand's Luksika Kumkhum in the semifinals to claim the bronze.

In total, Eala bagged three bronze medals in her debut in the biennial meet. She also copped a bronze in the women's team event and another one with Treat Huey in the mixed doubles event.

Meanwhile, an all-Filipino finals in men's doubles has been set up as the pair of Ruben Gonzales and Treat Huey will go up against the duo of Jeson Patrombon and Francis Casey Alcantara for the gold medal.
