Sibol Crossfire falls short against host Vietnam, settles for silver

The Sibol Crossfire team succumbed to a dominant Vietnamese squad, 3-0, to settle for the silver medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games on Sunday.

The Filipinos failed to avenge their upper bracket loss to Vietnam in the playoffs after they suffered another sweep against the Vietnamese.

The host squad went undefeated in the playoffs taking a 2-0 win against Laos followed by another 2-0 sweep against the Philippines in the upper bracket finals.

Sibol swept Indonesia, 2-0, in the lower backet finals but the Vietnamese asserted their mastery of the Filipinos with another 3-0 sweep in the gold medal match.

The Philippine representatives are composed of Aldrin "PM_Aldrin" Borabon, Matthew "PM_EL1" Arnaez, John "PM_Zyk" Alde, Dennis "PM_AZ" Ramos, Christian "PM_Revenge" Amores, and Arthur "PM_King" Tecson, all the Pacific Macta.
