Former Brave CF bantamweight champion Stephen Loman of Baguio City's Team Lakay wants to test his mettle against former ONE bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes.

Loman, 30, has registered two impressive wins since he signed with ONE Championship. He currently sits at no. 3 in the bantamweight division and would like a chance to face the no. 1 Fernandes, who last fought and lost to ex-UFC fighter John Lineker in March.

"It's about pressuring him. Could be in striking, wrestling, or on the ground. It's all the facets of MMA," answered Loman when asked of his takeaways from Lineker's second-round knockout over Fernandes.

"He's still the champion Bibiano that we know. He still has that striking and wrestling prowess, that superb control over his opponent on the ground, and submission maneuvers. He didn't rust at all."

Loman and Lineker were supposed to fight last year but the fight had to be called off after the Filipino caught COVID-19. In case he does not get Fernandes, Loman said that he is also ready to face the new ONE bantamweight world champion Lineker.

"I'm more than 100 percent ready to fight for the title if they offer me the fight. I will pour my everything into it," Loman said.

"This is my grail, to be the next title-holder, and follow the footsteps of my seniors who became world champions in their division."
