#LastLift: Hidilyn Diaz still determined two years before Paris 2024

A gold medal is not stopping Filipino Olympian Hidilyn Diaz as she is determined to do more for the Philippines, two years before the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Sunday in Instagram, Diaz posted a photo of chalked hands which is "a reminder that despite all I have accomplished, weightlifting has pushed me to continue to work my hardest para sa bayan natin."

Diaz said she is setting aside her honeymoon with husband and coach Julius Naranjo as 730 days remain for the Paris Olympics.

"Kahit mahirap, even though I do not need to prove anything, gusto ko pa rin gawin ang lahat [nang] makakaya ko para sa weightlifting at sa Pilipinas," she wrote.

Diaz also encouraged the nation to join her in her "#LastLift."

"I am manifesting this dahil ito ang gusto ko at weightlifting ang nagpapasaya sakin. Samahan ninyo ako sa aking desisyon to go for my #LastLift. #TeamHD will be with me throughout the whole process pero kailangan ko ang suporta at dasal ninyong lahat," she added.

Diaz also remembered in the photo her silver medal finish in the Rio Olympics which happened exactly six years ago.

"I can still remember how magical that day was, how God surprised me with a silver medal when I was just aiming for a Bronze, it was one of the proudest moments of my life."
