Fil-Swiss figure skater Alisson Perticheto begins coaching career


Filipino-Swiss figure skater Alisson Perticheto has opened a new chapter in her skating career as she is set to transition into coaching.

In a heartfelt post, Perticheto thanked the Philippine Skating Union (PSU) for giving her the support all throughout her career and said that she is will now share her passion for the sport as a coach.

"I'm very thankful and proud of what I've accomplished during my competitive career and how I've got the chance to help my country evolve in this sport," she said in an Instagram post on Thursday.

"I wish all the best for my teammates who are still competing and doing their best for the Philippines!"

As an athlete, Perticheto had competed in numerous international competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games, where she captured a bronze in 2017 and silver in the 2019 edition held on home soil.

The 24-year-old skater also ruled the 2018-2019 Bosphorus Cup while also representing the Philippines in other tourneys.

"I am so excited for what's coming next. Skating has been and will always remain a huge part of my life," she said.
