Adonis Sevilleno wins ONE Warrior Series, joins Team Lakay and ONE Championship

Cebu's Adonis Sevilleno earned himself a $100,000 contract with ONE Championship after he won the reality TV series ONE Warrior Series this past weekend.

Sevilleno, 2-2 as a professional mixed martial artist, outlasted 15 other aspirants in the show en route to winning the show and getting picked up by the fabled Team Lakay in Baguio City.

“There wasn’t any day that I gave to myself to rest. That’s because I really wanted to win this. I wanted to be a champion and take home the ONE Championship contract,” Sevilleno said.

His reality TV triumph also meant that Sevilleno will get to make his ONE Championship debut against his fellow Filipino Drex Zamboanga at ONE 164 on December 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

For Sevilleno, all of his sacrifices were worth it.

“I’m so happy. I’m thinking, I was only dreaming of this before. I really wanted to be a member of Team Lakay and join a team of legendary fighters. And through this journey, I did it,” he stated.
