KarlTzy on 'best jungler' tag: I'm a team player, I don't care about stats or MVP
JAKARTA — Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno was quick to steer clear from the "best jungler" tag even as Echo marched to the upper bracket finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship.
Is KarlTzy the best jungler? He answers: “I think we’re the best team and I’m a team player right now so I don’t care about stats.” ????@gmasportsph #m4worldchampionship pic.twitter.com/WB9lFVKPp5

But being called among the best junglers in the world isn't something new to KarlTzy. In fact, he was named the most valuable player when Bren Esports ruled the M2 edition in early 2021, delivering the country's first-ever world title before Blacklist dominated M3 late in that same year.
Two years since then, KarlTzy finds himself in the same position as the Orcas arranged an all-Filipino upper bracket finals showdown with compatriot Blacklist International and moved within two wins from the M4 throne.
Still, the 18-year-old star said he is not thinking of individual accolades as he's embracing his team player role now.
"I think we're the best team," he said after Echo routed Onic Esports of Indonesia in the upper bracket semifinals on Thursday.
"I'm a team player right now so I don't care about stats or MVP. I've been there."
In the M4, KarlTzy is pitted against some of the best junglers in ML:BB scene like Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario of Blacklist, Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol of Onic, and Albert "Alberttt" Iskandar of RRQ Hoshi.
