Alex Eala qualifies for Thailand Open main draw

Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala on Sunday qualified for the main draw of the Thailand Open.

Eala defeated Belarus' Kristina Dmitruk, 6-2, 7-5, in the second round of the qualifying draw in Hua Hin, Thailand.

Prior to this, the US Open junior girls champion took down China's Xinyun Han, 6-1, 7-6(6).

The main draw of the Hua Hin tournament will start on Monday, with Canada's Bianca Andreescu holding the top seed of the main draw.
