Bren, Echo secure upper bracket slots as MPL PH Season 11 heads to playoffs

M-series World Champions Bren Esports and Echo Philippines will be marching into the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 11 playoffs armed with a bonus as the two teams secured upper bracket advantages.

Bren, the former world champs from the M2 tournament, claimed the top spot after blanking reigning MPL champion Blacklist International last Friday, when they pulled off a dominant 17-0 kill spread in Game 2 following a 20-3 victory in the series opener.

KyleTzy and Super Marco, using Fanny and Wan-wan, were named the MVPs in the stunning victory.

But Bren wasn't able to finish the final week of the regular season unblemished as it fell to Onic Philippines, 0-2, to close out the elimination round with an 11-3 win-loss card.

Meanwhile, the reigning M4 World Champions Echo secured the second and last upper bracket ticket after eking out a 2-0 victory against Smart Omega and exacting revenge on RSG Slate Philippines with a 2-1 triumph.

Blacklist wound up third ahead of the playoffs while RSG, Onic, and Omega rounded out the cast. Nexplay EVOS and TNC were eliminated after finishing seventh and eighth with 4-10 and 3-11 slates, respectively.

The playoff round will begin on May 4 at the SMX Convention Center.
