Sibol Mobile Legends team completes SEA Games three-peat

The Philippine esports team Sibol is now a three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event.

Sibol on Sunday had a 3-0 win against Malaysia in the finals of the MLBB men's tournament in Cambodia.

The Philippine squad, bannered by the core of Bren Esports, finished off the Malaysians in Game 1 with a 19-11 kill spread as young jungler Kyle Sayson's Fredrinn did the damage after unleashing a near-perfect KDA of four kills and 10 assists against one death.

They moved on to the match point when Sayson's (Lancelot) crucial lord kill in the 20th minute of Game Two allowed them to push to the base en route to a 2-0 lead. Sayson was again hailed the MVP in that Game Two win with his flawless 3-0-7 line.

The Filipinos needed just 11 minutes to wipe out the Malaysians and secure Game Three for the gold medal. Marco Requitiano claimed the MVP honors with his seven kills and five assists.

This was the Philippines' 42nd gold medal in this edition of the biennial meet.
