ECHO opens MSC campaign with win against Team EVO
M4 World Champions ECHO of the Philippines opened their campaign in the 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) with a win against Laos' Team EVO, 2-0, in the group stage on Saturday in Cambodia.
Gold laner and M4 Finals MVP Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales was named MVP of Game 2 with a 12/1/2 KDA using his signature hero Beatrix after towing Echo to a 21-8 kill spread finish in almost 15 minutes of battle with the Laos champions.
Echo also made quick work of EVO in the opening game with Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno's Bane single-handedly killing the lord at the 13:42 mark before the rest of the squad wipe out the opponents highlighted by a triple kill from Bennyqt's Wanwan.
They disposed of EVO with a 15-2 line to secure a 1-0 series lead as Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera garnered the MVP citation after unleashing four kills and seven assists against no death.
The Orcas are composed of Bennyqt, Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno, Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya, Alston "Sanji" Pabico, and Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera.
ECHO will be back in action on Sunday when they play Fire Flux Impunity of Turkey.
Blacklist International, the other Filipino delegate to the MSC, will start their campaign on Monday against Team Occupy.
