Stephen Loman acknowledges Lineker's power but says he can knock him out too
Stephen Loman of Team Lakay is well aware of the danger he is facing when he shares the cage with former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 14 on September 30 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Loman, 31, won all three of his fights under the ONE Championship banner since joining Asia's top martial arts promotion. He is coming off a highly impressive victory over ex-champ Bibiano Fernandes last year and says his upcoming bout is a big fight too.
"This is one of the biggest fights in my career. He punches hard and he has knocked many people out, but I think I also punch hard and if I connect, it is me getting a knockout," Loman stated.
Lineker, meanwhile, is a former UFC fighter touted as the "Hands of Stone." 36-10 as a mixed martial artist, Lineker is coming off a third-round knockout over Kim Jae Woong earlier this month.
The winner of the upcoming contest is likely to get a shot at ONE bantamweight world champion Fabricio Andrade next.
