Karl Eldrew Yulo bags 7 golds in Batang Pinoy

Karl Eldrew Yulo, the younger brother of Filipino Olympian Carlos Yulo, won seven gold medals in the 2023 Batang Pinoy on Wednesday in Manila.

The 15-year old Karl Eldrew, a representative of Manila, swept all events in the Boys FIG 14-17 category — from vault, still rings, floor exercise, high bar, parallel bar, pommel horse, to the individual all-around. 

Karl and Carlos' grandfather Rodrigo Frisco expects the former to surpass his older brother's skill set.

“Mas magaling ito (Eldrew) kesa sa kanyang kuya,” said Frisco.

[He is better than his older brother.]

Carlos, meanwhile, has already qualified for a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
