H2wo returns to MPL as part of Omega; Kelra signs with Onic

The offseason movement for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 13 continued to be busy as two household names found new homes ahead of the upcoming edition.

Veteran jungler John Paul "H2wo" Salonga has agreed to play for Omega Esports after taking a break from the competitive ML:BB scene last season while gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas is set to bolster Onic Philippines.

In a roster reveal video on Friday, Omega unveiled its Season 13 squad with H2wo and midlaner Dexter "Exort" Martinez joining the 'Barangay Omega' as they look to bounce back from an early exit in the previous season.

Omega, who welcomed Hall of Famer Carlito "Ribo" Ribo last year, lost to RSG Philippines in their play-in clash in Season 12.

Onic, on the other hand, is hoping to bring back its glory with the signing of former Omega star Kelra as well as jungler King Cyric "K1ngkong" Perez, who previously saw action for TNC Pro Team.

Onic has been on a rebuilding phase since its mighty M3 World Championship run, where the Hedgehogs reached the finals round before falling to compatriot Blacklist International. Ever since then, Onic has had struggles, absorbing early exits in Seasons 10, 11, and 12.

Recently, another Pinoy player in Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera made a major career move as he headed to Indonesia to reinforce Aura Esports in MPL Indonesia.
