Jaypee unfazed by criticism as he makes maiden MSC stint with Team Liquid Echo

Jaypee "Jaypee" Cruz is marching on to his first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup (MSC) stint with nothing in mind but to be of help to Team Liquid Echo as its starting roamer.

However, he had to put behind him the criticisms he gets online.

"Wala po akong kailangang patunayan sa kanila kasi mas may kailangan [akong patunayan] sa sarili ko at saka sa team," the veteran roamer told select members of the press during the MSC Media Day.

(I have nothing to prove to them because I will only need to prove something to myself and my team.)

Jaypee, who has been in the professional scene since MPL Philippines Season 4 with Sunsparks, has been receiving hate since he subbed in for Echo's former roamer in Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera back in Season 12, where they eventually fell short of defending the title as Falcon AP.Bren went on capturing the title.

Jaypee, however, did not mind what others said as he eventually helped the squad regain the title come MPL Season 13, where he played a vital role in the Cavalry's 4-0 victory against Bren in the finals.

Now, he will represent the Philippines at the big stage with the chance to help Echo seize one of the few titles missing in their collection, which already includes titles in MPL and M-Series World Championship.

"Excited po ako na makalaro sa MSC kasi first time ko po na maglalaro sa MSC kasi ‘yung last time hindi natuloy. Gusto lang namin makuha ‘yung championship kasi ‘yung prize pool po sobrang laki," Jaypee said.

(I am excited to play in the MSC because it is my first time there as my supposed first stint did not push through. I just want to get the championship because the prize pool is big.)
