Team Liquid Echo through to MSC playoffs after group stage sweep

Team Liquid Echo continued to live up to its billing, sweeping its three-game run in the group stage to advance to the knockout round of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Seacon Cup (MSC) 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

After opening their campaign with a clean victory against Twisted Minds last Wednesday, the Philippine bet breezed past Team Spirit of Russia and HomeBois of Malaysia with identical 2-0 wins to emerge as the top seed in Group C on Friday.

Echo and HomeBois are now through to the quarterfinals round while Twisted Minds and Team Spirit are eliminated.

Gold laner Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzanlez and EXP laner Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya carried the load in their game against Team Spirit with Bennyqt unleashing seven kills and nine assists on Natan in the opener. 

Sanford then completed Echo's familiar backdoor play, single-handedly destroying Team Spirit's base just before the 16th minute mark while the rest of the squad was engaging in a team clash at the middle lane. 

A triple kill from Bennyqt's Roger highlighted Team Liquid Echo's five-man wipeout of HomeBois in their Game 2 bout, allowing them to finish it off in under 16 minutes with roamer Jaypee "Jaypee" Cruz emerging as the MVP with a 4/2/15 KDA on his Chip. 

Echo thus move three wins away from securing the MSC title to add to its growing collection of trophies which already include MPL and world championships.
