MPL: Aurora Gaming ends Week 1 unscathed; Fnatic ONIC, Smart Omega impress

Aurora Gaming lived up to expectations, closing out its debut week with a spotless record in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 14 on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel, Makati.

Aurora Gaming is atop the leaderboard with a 2-0 win-loss record behind a 4-0 games win as the Serbian club swept Blacklist International last Friday before pulling off a similar victory over RSG Philippines.

Mid laner Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo starred in both games, shining with a masterful Game 1 outing during their match against his former team Blacklist with his Zhask, which saw him unleash two kills and five assists.

He then followed it up with another MVP-worthy performance in Game 2 against RSG, pouring in five kills and seven assists against one death as he imposed his dominance anew with Zhask.

Meanwhile, both Fnatic ONIC Philippines and Smart Omega have an equally impressive opening week.

Fnatic ONIC swept TNC Pro Team, 2-0, before keeping Blacklist winless on Sunday with a tight 2-1 triumph with jungler King "K1NGKONG" Perez and gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas showing the way as they cruised to a 2-0 win-loss slate.

Smart Omega, on the other hand, built on its 2-0 sweep of a new-look TNC to stun powerhouse and reigning world champion Falcons AP.Bren with a 2-1 victory.
