Fnatic ONIC avoids reverse sweep vs. Falcon Esports, nears M6 grand finals

Fnatic ONIC displayed poise in the endgame to avoid a reverse sweep against Myanmar's Falcon Esports, 3-2, during their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M6 World Championship upper bracket semifinals on Sunday in Malaysia.

The Philippine bets are now through to the upper bracket finals and are already assured of at least a top three finish.

Fnatic ONIC was off to a hot start behind another stellar performance from gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas, whose maniac just before the 12th minute mark allowed the Filipinos to destroy the base and draw first blood.

Kelra picked up where he left from their previous match against Selangor Red Giants and unleashed another perfect 9/0/5 KDA this time with his Bruno pick.

Fnatic ONIC then went to a match point at 2-0 after midlaner Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez flaunted his masterful use of Pharsa, whose four kills and eight assists proved crucial for the squad.

Falcon Esports, however, refused to just go down without a fight, winning the next two games to drag the reigning MPL Philippines champions to a decider.

Fnatic ONIC, however, was just too much for the Myanmar champion with Kelra (Irithel) conniving with SuperFrince (Yve) to send Falcon Esports to the lower bracket.

Fnatic ONIC now awaits the winner between the RRQ Hoshi and Team Liquid ID in the battle of Indonesia clubs later today.
