Korea's Joo Dae Yeong rules Tour of Luzon
Korea's Joo Dae Yeong ruled the revive Tour of Luzon which finished on Thursday at Camp John Hay in Baguio City.
Joo of the Gapyeong Cycling Team logged a total of 22 hours, 21 minutes and eight seconds in the tour which ran for eight days and covered venues such as Paoay in Ilocos Norte, Vigan in Ilocos Sur, San Juan and Agoo in La Union, Clark in Zambales, Lingayen and Labrador in Pangasinan, and Baguio City.
Joo seized the individual overall general classification title and won one million pesos in cash prize.
Jan Paul Morales finished second in the final ranking, six seconds behind Joo, while Jonel Carcueva was two minutes and 22 seconds behind to place third.
MPT Drivehub Cycling Team, meanwhile, topped the team general classification with a total of 88:22:02, while Standard Insurance Philippines was 11 seconds behind to finish second. Go for Gold Philippines placed third it was 3:03 minutes behind.
The Tour, known as Le Tour de Filipinas before the race was revived, was last held in 2019.
