Alex Eala at the 2025 French Open

Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala made her French Open main draw debut last Sunday when she took on Colombia's Emiliana Arango in the first round of the women's singles tournament.

Here is Eala's results and schedule as of writing:

• Women's singles:
  • First round: Eala vs Emiliana Arango - Arango def. Eala, 6-0, 2-6, 6-3
• Women's doubles:
  • First round: Eala and Renata Zarazua vs Emily Appleton and Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers - Eala, Zarazua def. Appleton, Cavalle-Reimers, 7-5, 6-4
  • Second round: Eala and Zarazua vs Olga Danilovic and Anastasia Potapova - May 30

Eala has been on the rise lately following her dream run in the Miami Open back in March where she defeated Grand Slam champions such as Madison Keys and Iga Swiatek before falling to Jessica Pegula in the semis.

In Madrid, however, Eala fell to Swiatek in the Round of 64 last April 24.

In the Italian Open just days ago, Eala partnered with Coco Gauff to compete in the doubles where they reached the quarterfinals.
