Alex Eala makes history with win vs Clara Tauson in US Open

Alex Eala defeated Clara Tauson of Denmark, 6-3, 2-6, 7(13)-6(11), early Monday (Philippine time) to claim her first win in the US Open main draw.

Eala could not contain her emotions as she completed her comeback against world no. 14 Tauson.

With the victory, Eala became the first Filipino player to win a Grand Slam singles main draw match in the Open Era.
