President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. congratulates Alex Eala on claiming her first win in the US Open main draw.

On Instagram Story, Marcos said the Filipina tennis ace is "only getting started."

Congratulations, [Alex Eala]!" the President wrote. “Kasama mo ang buong Pilipinas sa bawat laban mo.”

“Sama-sama naming isisigaw sa mundo ang galing ng Pilipino!” he added, followed by the hashtags #USOpen and #HerStory.

After beating world no. 14 Clara Tauson of Denmark, Eala has cemented herself as the first Filipino player to win a Grand Slam singles main draw in the Open Era.
