What’s next for Alex Eala after 2025 US Open stint?
Alex Eala made history at the 2025 US Open by becoming the first Filipino to win a Grand Slam main draw match, defeating Clara Tauson of Denmark in the first round last Monday.
However, the Filipina tennis ace fell to Cristina Bucsa in the second round, wrapping up her US Open campaign.
What’s next for Alex Eala after her US Open stint?
According to the WTA calendar, the next tournament after the US Open is the Sao Paulo (SP) Open in Brazil, which is set to begin on September 6.
Eala is listed as a participant in the tournament, according to its website, alongside players such as Janice Tjen of Indonesia and Hailey Baptiste of the United States.
However, the player list is subject to change until the official draw is released.
The SP Open is a WTA 250 event played on a hard court, similar to the US Open.
Following that, Eala previously mentioned she will head to Asia later this year for a series of tournaments.
