Smart Omega clips Team Falcons to snap skid in MPL PH Season 16

Smart Omega snapped its losing streak in style, taking down former world champion Team Falcons with a 2-0 thrashing to get back on track in MPL Philippines Season 16 on Sunday at the Green Sun Hotel.

Smart Omega recovered from previous defeats to AP.Bren and TNC to level its slate at 2-2,  while also sending Team Falcons reeling to a 1-3 mark after suffering its second straight loss.

Veteran midlaner Salic "Hadji" Imam starred in Game 1 escape, stealing the Lord on his Luo Yi before unleashing a double kill that took down Super Marco (Moskov) and FlapTzy (Arlott) en route to the first blood. 

Smart Omega then put together a near flawless performance in Game 2 with exp laner James "Jeymz" Gloria (Lapu-Lapu) and jungler Dean "Raizen" Sumagui (Fanny) leading a four-man takedown near the Lord pit at the 12th minute. 

Team Falcons, however, managed to get all four players back in time before the Lord marched down the bottom lane to mount a defense. 

Still, Team Falcons wasn't able to stop the Smart Omega siege as gold laner Kenneth "Nets" Barro (Harith) completed a maniac play to close out the series. 

Raizen claimed the Game 2 MVP honors after delivering five kills and five assists against no death on his assassin pick that helped Smart Omega grab its second win in four games.
