MPL PH: Sanji stars as Team Liquid sweeps Smart Omega for back-to-back wins

Alston "Sanji" Pabico imposed his will after carrying Team Liquid to a 2-0 win against Smart Omega as the Cavalry continued their surge in MPL Philippines Season 16 on Saturday at the Green Sun Hotel. 

Team Liquid improved to 3-2 and is now at second spot despite opening its campaign with two losses over the past two weeks. Smart Omega, meanwhile, fell to 2-3. 

The Cavalry rode Sanji's dominance in both games as the seasoned midlaner poured a spotless KDA of one kill and 10 assists on Pharsa in their Game 1 escape. 

Sanji then went for a Selena pick in Game 2 and unleashed an Abyssal Arrow to perfectly set up gold laner Kiel "Oheb" Soriano's (Harith) triple kill during the final team clash that eventually led to a wipeout. 

The win allowed the reigning MSC champions to climb back in the team standings after a shaky start to the season. 

Earlier, TNC swept AP. Bren, 2-0, behind exp laner Frediemar "3MarTzy" Serafico as they seized their second straight victory to improve to 2-2. 

3MarTzy unloaded MVP-worth performances, first posting a near-perfect KDA of 4/1/6 on Lapu-Lapu in Game 1 before capping it off with three kills and 13 assists on Arlott in Game 2.
