Aurora soars to 5th straight win at AP. Bren's expense

Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo was nearly unstoppable as Aurora Gaming extended its hot streak in MPL Philippines Season 16 with a 2-0 sweep of AP.Bren on Friday at the Green Sun Hotel.

The versatile midlaner showcased his skills throughout the series to help Aurora claim its fifth straight victory, solidifying their hold on the top spot with a 5-1 record. AP.Bren, meanwhile, dropped to 2-4.

Yue opted for a Kimmy pick in Game 1, tallying five kills and five assists against one death. He starred in their dominant win, finishing off the rookie-laden AP.Bren in just 10 minutes and 57 seconds.

He once again shone in Game 2, this time using Selena. He fired an Abyssal Arrow that stunned and eventually picked off JamesPangks' Hayabusa, then followed up by eliminating Arvie "Aqua" Antonio's Lunox to fuel a four-man wipeout and seal the victory.

Yue finished with a spotless 4/0/10 KDA to help keep Aurora's winning streak alive.

In the second series of the day, reigning world champion ONIC vented its ire on Smart Omega with a 2-0 sweep, bouncing back from a previous loss.

ONIC had been coming off a shocking 1-2 loss to Twisted Minds last Saturday, despite the latter fielding a different squad after jungler Michael "MPtheKing" Endino missed the game due to health reasons.

ONIC now improves to 4-2, tying Twisted Minds for second place.
