Stephen Loman wants out of ONE Championship
Filipino bantamweight mixed martial artist Stephen Loman of Lions Nation MMA wants out of ONE Championship.
A former Brave CF champion once regarded as one of the most promising homegrown talents from the Philippines, Loman has been inactive for two years already.
He last competed on September 29, 2023, against former world champion John Lineker, losing by unanimous decision.
“Permission for release ONE Championship. Thankful and grateful for the years,” Loman wrote on his personal Facebook account.
Loman, 17-3 as a professional mixed martial artist, joins the growing list of MMA athletes who want to cut ties with ONE Championship.
Earlier this year, former world title challenger Reece McLaren wrote an open letter to ONE Championship asking to be released from the roster.
Meanwhile, former two-division ONE champion Reinier de Ridder cited the lack of activity for MMA athletes at ONE Championship, which prompted him to join UFC.
