MPL PH: TNC outlasts Twisted Minds to reach Season 16 upper bracket

TNC survived a gallant stand from Twisted Minds with a gritty 3-2 victory during their knockout play-in match in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 16 on Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome. 

But the job doesn't get easier for TNC as it takes on top-seeded and streaking Aurora Gaming in the upper bracket while champion teams Onic Philippines and Team Liquid square off in the other bracket. 

The win marked TNC's rise from the ashes. 

The last time the squad was in the playoffs was in Season 9, when they fell to RSG Philippines in the upper bracket final. Since then, TNC has struggled in the past six editions after failing to reach the playoffs from Season 10 to Season 15.
