Carlos Yulo grateful for another world gymnastics gold

The medals just keep on coming for Filipino Olympian and gymnast Carlos Yulo, and he could not help but be grateful for his latest achievement.

Yulo on Saturday captured the gold medal after ruling the vault apparatus final in the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In an Instagram post late Saturday, Yulo expressed “pure gratitude to the Lord” following his victory.

"I’m beyond grateful and thankful, Lord, for all the challenges You’ve allowed me to experience, for guiding me, and for blessing me with this kind of talent to share with the world,” Yulo wrote in the caption of his post, sharing photos of his gold medal.

“Thank You for surrounding me with genuine people who truly support and love me. I’m deeply, deeply thankful,” he added.

His girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, also celebrated Yulo’s victory.

“The universe had grand plans and you answered the call. So grateful to walk this journey beside you always, mahal ko,” she wrote in her post.

Aside from the gold medal, Yulo also clinched a bronze in the floor exercise in this year’s edition of the world championships.
