Karl Eldrew Yulo bags bronze in Junior World Gymnastics floor exercise finals
Karl Eldrew Yulo, the brother of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, bagged the bronze medal in the floor exercise final of the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships on Sunday at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.
Yulo finished third with a score of 13.733, behind gold medalist Yang Lanbin of China (13.833) and silver medalist Simone Speranza of Italy (13.766). He edged out Russian Arsenii Dukhno by a tenth of a point (13.633).
Competing with a sprained ankle he sustained during Saturday's all-around finals—where he placed eighth—Yulo said the podium finish was an emotional one.
"This is not just any competition. Nakakaiyak, sobra," Yulo said on Sunday.

This is the Philippines' first medal across all three editions of the FIG-sanctioned Junior World Championships, and Yulo’s first at the world level as well.
Yulo previously won gold in vault at the 2024 Junior Asian Championships and earned silver medals in the 2023 and 2025 editions of the junior continental tournament.
He will still compete in the vault and horizontal bar finals on Monday.
