Karl Eldrew Yulo fell just short of a podium finish, placing fourth in the vault finals of the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships on Monday at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

The 17-year-old rising star, who captured a bronze medal in the floor exercise finals on Sunday, scored a total of 13.716 points in the vault finals to wind up fourth among the eight finalists.

Yulo impressed in his first vault jump, scoring 13.933 points that earned him applause from the home crowd that included his older brother, two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo

He then collected 13.500 on the second vault despite a shaky landing, soaring to the third spot with two competitors left. But he dropped to the fourth spot when Arsenii Dukhno notched a stellar 14.333 outing to officially bow out of medal contention.

Dukhno ended up reigning supreme the vault championship round to rack up his second gold medal in the tournament following his top finish in the all-around finals last Saturday.

Great Britain bets Sol Scott and Evan McPhillips snagged the silver and bronze medals, respectively, with the former garnering 14.066 points and the latter collecting 13.950 points.

Yulo will close out his campaign in the horizontal bars finals later today.
