Eduard Flores, Maricar Camacho rule 16K race as Metro Manila 10 Miler concludes in QC
Eduard Flores and Maricar Camacho topped the 16K race of the Quezon City leg of the Metro Manila 10 Miler Series last Sunday at UP Diliman.
Flores clocked 56 minutes and 19 seconds to finish first among the men, with Roy Laudit coming in a close second at 56:20. Mark Anthony Oximar placed third with a time of 58:58.
Camacho, meanwhile, ruled the 16K women’s division with a time of 1:09:19, just a second faster than Mea Gey Niñura, who finished in 1:09:20. Jocelyn Elijeran completed the podium with a time of 1:11:46.
In the 10K race, Ritchie Estampador (33:51), Cronie Melliza (34:06), and Joel Orogan (35:03) emerged as the top three male finishers. In the women’s division, Decerie Encomio posted the fastest time at 41:13, while Shiekhy Heart Supremo and Jo Punay tied for second with identical times of 45:00.
Edzel Baritua (15:12), Vincent Avestruz (15:43), and Jerssylee De Vera (16:16) were the podium finishers in the men’s 5K race. In the women’s division, Mary Jane Pagayon (18:30), Shaira Mae Fantilaga (19:41), and Lezamy Sanita (22:21) claimed the top three spots.
This event marked the final leg of the Rexona Metro Manila 10 Miler Series, which also had stops in the City of Manila, Pasay City, Muntinlupa City, Parañaque City, and Makati City.
