How much do PH national athletes receive as reward for winning international tournaments?

Representing the Philippines is always a source of pride for any athlete as their participation is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

When an athlete competes on the international stage, they carry not only the colors of the flag but also the hopes and dreams of an entire nation.

Although the journey requires immense perseverance, athletes are rewarded when they reach the podium in international competitions.

Republic Act No. 10699, signed in 2015, also known as the National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, mandates the state to support national athletes and coaches by providing benefits and incentives.

The law grants national athletes privileges such as discounts in select establishments, discounts in certain leisure facilities, and free medical and dental consultations in government hospitals and similar institutions, among others.
