Edsel Moral, Maricar Camacho rule Trilogy Run Asia National Finals


Edsel Moral and Maricar Camacho ruled the Trilogy Run Asia National Finals on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Complex.

Moral finished first among the male 42K racers with 2:27:31, while Welfred Esporma (2:48:11) and Edgardo Panopio, Jr. (2:58:12) completed the top three.

Camacho, meanwhile, clocked in 3:18:56 to get the best time among the women’s 42K racers, while Amelyn Broquez (3:29:44) and Rocel Maestro (3:30:00) placed second and third, respectively.

Kenyan David Kipsang placed first in the male 21K racers with 1:09:14, while James Kevin Cruz (1:10:36) and Edgar Lee (1:11:43) completed the top three. Eloisa Cusi (1:29:32), meanwhile, was the fastest female racer in the 21K, followed by Jenismyll Quirante (1:32:26) and Yahchevah Daligdig (52:56).

Ritchie Estampador had 34:44 minutes to finish first in 10K, followed by Jeck Labrador (34:49) and Bong Sentillas (34:50). For the women, Jo Punay had the best time with 46:33, followed by Susan Gejos (52:52) and Eliz Villaroman (52:56).

A 5K race was also held with Edzel Baritua finishing with 17:06, while Jevie Rebutazo (17:20) and Justwin Guerrero (17:51) followed. Shaira Mae Fantillaga placed first with 21:45, followed by Brizeth Dequito (24:51) and Marjorie Diangkinay (25:16).

A total of 11,300 runners participated in the national finals.
