Cash incentives for medalists

Republic Act No. 10699, signed in 2015, also known as the National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, mandates the state to support national athletes and coaches by providing benefits and incentives.

Individual events (e.g., gymnastics, weightlifting):

Gold Medalists: P300,000
Silver Medalists: P150,000
Bronze Medalists: P60,000

Team Events (eg. basketball, volleyball, etc.)

Teams with fewer than five participants: They will receive the same incentives as individual medalists, divided equally among team members.

Teams with more than five participants: Each member receives 25% of the incentive for individual medalists.

Demonstration or exhibition sports: Medalists receive 25% of the Olympic cash incentives.

Cash Incentives for Coaches

A coach must have trained a national athlete for at least six months before the international event. Eligible coaches receive 50% of the athlete’s cash incentive. If an athlete has multiple coaches, the amount is divided among them.
