PH battles Thailand for baseball gold in 2025 SEA Games

The Philippines has a chance to add another gold medal to its haul when it faces Thailand in the baseball finals on Friday, 1 p.m. (Philippine time).

En route to the finals, the national baseball team swept all of its preliminary games, defeating Indonesia (14–0), Singapore (17–3), Malaysia (21–0), Vietnam (20–1), Thailand (8–7), and Lao PDR (15–4).

Although baseball is not always included in the biennial meet, the Philippines has been a dominant force in the sport, winning three gold medals in the four editions in which it was played (2005, 2011, 2019). In 2007, the Philippines finished with a silver.
