Taekwondo’s Tachiana Mangin wins PH’s 7th gold in 2025 SEA Games


Taekwondo athlete Tachiana Mangin won the Philippines’ seventh gold medal in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games on Friday.

Mangin clinched her gold in the women’s 49-kg kyorugi event.

This is also the country’s second gold on Day 3 of the biennial meet, after the Philippine team defeated Thailand earlier in the men’s baseball finals.

According to the Philippine Sports Commission, Mangin was also the first Filipina to win a gold medal at the World Junior Taekwondo Championships last year.
