Kayla Sanchez rules women’s 100m freestyle to cop another SEA Games gold

Kayla Sanchez added another SEA Games gold medal to her collection as she topped the women’s 100m freestyle on Friday in Thailand.

Sanchez clocked 54.82 to finish first and get her second gold after being part of the national team which won the 4x100m freestyle relay. She also has silver medals from 200m freestyle and 50m backstroke.

Coming in second to Sanchez is compatriot Heather White with 55.36 seconds, followed by Singapore’s Ting Wen Quah.

This is the country’s ninth gold medal in the ongoing biennial meet.
