2025 SEA Games: Hokett Delos Santos wins gold in men’s decathlon

Hokett Delos Santos added another gold to the Philippines’ athletics medal haul at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games after topping the men’s decathlon event on Friday in Thailand.

Delos Santos, who won a pole vault silver in the 2022 edition of the biennial meet, tallied 6,917 points. He was followed by Thailand’s Singkhon Suttisak (6,649) and Indonesia’s Richsan Idan Fauzan (6,582).

Earlier, John Cabang Tolentino delivered the country’s first athletics gold after breaking the SEA Games record in the men’s 110m hurdles.

This is the Philippines’ 11th gold medal in this year’s SEA Games.
