2025 SEA Games: Alex Eala, Francis Alcantara fall short vs Thais, take bronze in mixed doubles

The tandem of Alexandra “Alex” Eala and Francis Casey Alcantara fell short against Thailand’s Patcharin Cheapchandej and Pawit Sornlaksup, 7–5, 5–7, 7–10, in the semifinals of the mixed doubles tournament at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand on Wednesday.

Earlier in the competition, the Philippine pair defeated Singapore in the Round of 16, 6–2, 6–2.

Eala, who has already secured another bronze medal in the women’s team event, still has a chance to win gold when she faces Thailand’s Sawangkaew Mananchaya in the women’s singles final on Thursday.
