Wushu athlete Agatha Wong recently won her sixth gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games after ruling the taijijian–taijiquan event last Sunday.

She has won gold medals at the SEA Games in 2017 (taijiquan), 2019 (one in taijiquan and one in taijijian), 2021 (taijijian), and 2023 (taijijian–taijiquan). She also earned silver medals in 2017 (taijijian) and 2021 (taijiquan), bringing her total SEA Games medal haul to eight.

Wong is also a two-time silver medalist at the World Championships, winning silvers in 2015 and 2023, and a bronze medalist in 2025.

She likewise captured a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Aside from wushu, Wong—who graduated with a degree in diplomatic affairs—previously studied medicine, driven by her strong interest in sports.
