SEA Games: LJ Yasay knocks out Malaysian foe to take muay gold

Another muay gold medal heads the Philippines' way after LJ Rafael Yasay knocked out Insyad Rumijam of Malaysia in the 2025 SEA Games men’s -51kg finals on Wednesday in Thailand. 

Yasay delivered the country's second gold from muay thai after Islay Bomogao captured the title in the 45kg division.
 
The 21-year-old Yasay defeated the another 21-year-old fighter in Chembone of Laos in the quarterfinals before silencing hometown bet Chalongchai Minindi of Thailand in the semifinals to advance to the gold medal round.
