PH wins gold medals in modern pentathlon, flying disc, windsurfing

The Philippines added to its medal haul at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games on Wednesday after clinching gold medals in modern pentathlon, flying disc, and windsurfing.

Melvin Sacay ruled the men’s laser run individual event to claim gold, while Pilipinas Ultimate defeated Singapore, 9–7, to capture the mixed division title in flying disc.

In windsurfing, Dhenver John Castillo won gold in the men’s U19 IQFoil event, while Renz Angelo Amboy settled for silver in the Techno 293 Plus men’s open. Arianne Angela Paz (women’s IQFoil open) and John Harold Madrigal (men’s IQFoil open) secured bronze medals.
