2025 SEA Games: Wrestling’s Gabriel Dinette, modern pentathlon’s Samuel German cop golds

Samuel German and Gabriel Dinette added their respective gold medals to the Philippines’ haul at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games on Friday in Thailand.

German ruled the men’s obstacle laser run in modern pentathlon, while Juliana Shane Sevilla claimed bronze in the women’s division, capping modern pentathlon’s campaign with three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze.

Meanwhile, Dinette won gold in the men’s 86kg wrestling event, while Ronil Tubog secured silver in the men’s freestyle 65kg category.

Other medalists from Friday’s events included the Philippine Women’s Ice Hockey Team, the Philippine Men’s Floorball Team, Charmaine Dolar and Arcenio Cadlos (mixed pair aerobic gymnastics), and Paola Lorenzo (show jumping mixed individual), who all bagged silver medals.

The Philippine Women’s Floorball Team, the Aerobic Gymnastics Mixed Group, pencak silat athletes Almohaidib Abad, Gregmart Benitez, Allimar Campos, Harold Ungaya, Hanna Mae Ibutnande, Cyrell Covon, and the regu team of Rick-rod Ortega, Edmart Tacuel, and James El Mayagma earned bronze medals.
