2025 Southeast Asian Games Medal Tally

The 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand concluded on Saturday, with the host country collecting 233 gold medals, 154 silvers, and 112 bronzes for a total of 499 medals.

The Philippines, meanwhile, finished with 50 golds, 73 silvers, and 154 bronzes, placing sixth behind Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Here is the medal tally at the end of the biennial meet, according to the SEA Games website.

Among the Philippines’ most medal-rich sports were athletics with 31 medals (five golds, seven silvers, and 19 bronzes); swimming with 14 (three golds, nine silvers, and two bronzes); taekwondo, also with 14 (two golds, six silvers, and six bronzes); fencing with 13 (two silvers and 11 bronzes); gymnastics with 12 (three golds, two silvers, and seven bronzes); and muay with 11 (two golds, one silver, and eight bronzes).

Included in the Philippines’ 50 gold medals were notable performances by EJ Obiena (pole vault), Alex Eala (tennis), Eumir Marcial (boxing), Gilas Pilipinas Men and Women (basketball), and the Filipinas (women’s football).

Kayla Sanchez, meanwhile, collected eight medals at the biennial meet—three golds (100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, and the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay) and five silvers (200m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 50m freestyle, the 4x100m medley relay, and the 4x200m freestyle relay).
