Filipinos score medals at the WGP-1 Waterjet World Cup 2025 in Thailand

Several Filipino jet ski racers made waves by nabbing medals at the recently-concluded WGP-1 Waterjet World Cup 2025 held December 17 to 21 at Pattaya City in Thailand.

Anton Ignacio placed second to score a silver medal in the Amateur Runabout 1100 Stock event.

Finishing fifth and sixth in the same event were Angelo Inigo Abille Ventus and Kristine Kate Mercado, who both ruled other events in the competition. Mercado took gold in the Women Runabout 1100 Stock event while Ventus also placed first in the Novice Runabout Stock event.

In the Expert Ski GP event, Cody Lorenzo Pontino finished third for bronze while Vito Tinio also finished third in the Jr. 13-15 Spark Stock event.
