MLBB: Aurora Gaming roars into M7 upper bracket finals after denying Alter Ego
JAKARTA — The Philippines’ Aurora Gaming punished erstwhile unbeaten Alter Ego with a 3-1 statement win in the M7 World Championship upper bracket semifinals on Wednesday at the Tennis Indoor Senayan.
The Filipinos bounced back from a Game 2 shutdown to complete the upset over the hometown bets.
Exp laner Edward “Edward” Dapadap and gold laner Jan “Domengkite” del Mundo did the lifting in Game 1, shining on their Lapu-Lapu and Freya as the Filipinos drew first blood.
However, both players were neutralized by Alter Ego in Game 2, thanks to spotless games from Yazukee (Leomord), Hijumee (Yve), and Arfy (Granger).
Domengkite made up for it in Game 3, dazzling with a 4/0/6 outing on the Harith to help clinch the match point.
Aurora struggled early in Game 4, but a pivotal Lord dance at the 17th minute paved the way for a massive comeback.
Jungler Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto (Leomord) stole the Lord objective that set the stage for the four-man wipeout and the victory.
